Posted by Nathan Bucknall on August 15, 2022

As Samoa welcomes its first overseas visitors now that our borders are open, we at Taumeasina Island Resort are very privileged to be welcoming back the Right Honourable Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern, and her Cabinet Ministers Hon. Carmel Sepuloni and also Hon. Aupito Sua Tofae Su’a Sio William, along with the delegation of VIPs from New Zealand.

We are so happy to be able to welcome back these guests today, as well as many others to come.

The long wait is finally over… and we have to say… Cheeeeeeeeehooooooo.

Now that borders are open, its time to celebrate Samoa’s 60th Independence Year, and Taumeasina Island Resort are happy to offer our Aiga and Friends our Teuila Special. To access these great rates use the booking code Teuila22.

We look forward to welcoming you home to Taumeasina Island Resort shortly.

Tuiataga Nathan Bucknall, General Manager of Taumeasina Island Resort, was recently featured by Janet's of Samoa in their Ali'i Leader Series. A quick blurb from Janet's below:

Tuiataga has been the General Manager of Taumeasina Island Resort in Samoa since its opening 6 years ago.

Tuiataga has been working in hospitality in the Pacific for the past 17 years having managed many properties between Perth and Samoa.

“I was honored to be bestowed a Matai title by the village of Moataa. With the Village Matai system and village councils, Samoa is built on a solid framework of leadership. Offering stability and guidance.
We always have challenges, every day we have a new challenge, and without leaders, without Alii, those challenges can get out of control. A leader is someone who can help guide those involved towards good outcomes.”

Current Time On The Island

Had a very relaxing holiday for 5 days. Clean room and attentive staff wherever you are on the property. Small beach area but plenty of kayaks to use. Very clean pools and manicured gardens. Great gym and spa facilities... Coffee area by bar was really appreciated and well used! Hope to be back next year with our kids and grandkids.
