GM Update: October 2022

General Manager Update | October 2022

Posted by Nathan Bucknall on October 19, 2022

It has been a big month for Taumeasina Island Resort since I last wrote to you. I was fortunate to sit on the panel of judges at the 2022 Miss Samoa Pageant, where Haylani Kuruppu, who hails from the village of Moata’a and resides in Victoria was deservedly crowned this year's Miss Samoa.

We welcomed back champion Joseph Parker for the first time since our borders closed and it was a pleasure to have him back at Taumeasina. He was kind enough to provide some feedback about why he always returns to our resort - you can watch his video below.

In addition to welcoming back former heavyweights, we had the privilege of hosting the Governor of American Samoa and his cabinet ministers at the “Atoa o Samoa” diplomatic meetings, between Samoa and American Samoa.

In very exciting news, we are nearing the completion of our brand new 3 Bedroom Cove Villas. These will be among the most beautiful luxury accommodation options in Samoa and we cannot wait to open their doors to our guests.

Congratulations Miss Samoa 2022!

A very big congratulations to the recently crowned Miss Samoa 2022/2023 Haylani Pearl Mataupu Kuruppu!

We were privileged to host her at Taumeasina Island Resort.

Miss Samoa is a daughter of Moata'a, and a part of our aiga, and were privileged to get some footage of Miss Samoa at Taumeasina Island Resort, making memories.

Taumeasina Welcomes Joseph Parker

It is always our pleasure to have champion Joseph Parker visit us here at Taumeasina Island Resort.

"Every time I come to Samoa, when I want to relax and enjoy a good holiday and family time, I always choose Taumeasina."

Current Time On The Island

We moved to Taumeasina for 2 nights after staying at Aggie Greys for 3 nights. I wish that we had stayed our entire trip at the Taumeasina! The staff couldn't do enough for us and the accommodation was spectacular.
