GM Update: September 2022

General Manager Update | September 2022

Posted by Nathan Bucknall on September 15, 2022

What an amazing time we have been having since our borders opened on the 1st August 2022.

We have been welcoming back family and friends from around the world, and it has been a touching time for all of us here at Taumeasina Island Resort.

We are fortunate to have been visited by Riverdale’s KJ Apa, who hails from the village Moata’a where the beautiful Taumeasina Island Resort is located. KJ was accompanied by girlfriend, baby and family, as well as co-star Charles Melton. What an honour it was to have them staying with us. Whilst KJ Apa was here, he was bestowed the Matai title of Savae, and more information on this can be found below.

We welcomed to our small island resort the Governor-General of New Zealand Dame Cindy Kiro, who was here with us to help celebrate Samoa’s 60th Independence and the beginning of the Teuila Festival.

During the last couple of weeks, and throughout the Teuila Festival, we have been lucky enough to host, Jai Opetaia, IBF World Champion Boxer, as well as renowned Samoan-Australian musician Lisi, all of this whilst being one of the sponsors for the 2022 Miss Samoa Pageant, so to say we have been busy is an understatement, but we are LOVING it.

Keep an eye out also on our social media platforms for our White Sunday Specials as White Sunday is just around the corner, and this is always an amazing time to be in Samoa.

If you are ready to book, check out our current Teuila Special, that is exclusive to our database.

We are happy to say that things are back in swing, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back to Taumeasina Island Resort, when the time is right for you.

A visit from Lisi

During the first week of September, we welcomed Samoan rapper Lisi. He was hyped to spend the week at Taumeasina Island Resort and we were very pleased to host him.

See you again soon, Lisi.
