To Sua Ocean Trench

The iconic To Sua Trench is a natural ocean trench on the south coast of Samoa. Take a picnic and spend a few hours exploring the trench and beachside nearby.

Robert Louis Stevenson Museum

A magnificent museum of the late famous Scottish poet and author, Robert Louis Stevenson. This is a must see while exploring beautiful Samoa.

Surfing in Samoa

There are several different locations to go surfing in Samoa and some of the most diverse waves you will find in the South Pacific.

Local Village Tours

Get a real feel for what life is like for the locals with a local tour of Moata'a Village, Taumeasina's local village.

Papase'ea Sliding Rocks

The naturally formed sliding rocks are only 15mins drive from Apia. There is a slide for kids and a slide for adults. These rocks have formed into a slide because of thousands of years of running water.

Palolo Deep Marine Reserve

With a diverse array of coral and fish species the Marine Reserve is great for snorkeling or diving. This area is famous for the Samoan Palolo Worm which is most seen between Sept and Nov each year to spawn. The marine reserve is just off the coast of Taumeasina Island. 

Piula Cave Pool

The beautiful crystal clear freshwater spring pool is located in the village of Lufilufi. The cave originated from an old lava tube which visitors can explore by swimming through to the cave which is connected to a second cave.

Falealupo Canopy Walk (Savai'i)

A stunning walk through the Falealupo rainforest reserve on Savai'i Island. During your walk you will cross a canopy walkway built between Giant Banyan Trees. 

Swimming with Turtles

On the Southeastern coast of Upolu visitors can swim with Samoan turtles in their natural habitat. Turtles like to feed in the early morning and early evening. Snorkel out to the corals edge of the reef and see if you can spot these beautiful sea creatures. 

Coastal Walk

The O Le Pupu Pu'e National Park is home to the Coastal Walk. Part of the park, is a magnificent cliff top coastal walk amongst the local Pandanus trees. This walk will take you past an open lava field. You are sure to spot some sea life, birds and interesting lava rock formations. 

Royal Samoa Golf Course

An 18 hole golf course located in the village of Fagalli is just 5 minutes from Taumeasina Island Resort. The spectacular lush golf course overlooks views of the Pacific Ocean.

Alofaaga Blowholes (Savai'i)

In the village of Taga on Savai'i Island you will find natural blow holes. The ocean sending roaring jets of water hundreds of feet into the air. Watch as local Samoan's through coconuts into the holes and then the waves blast them up into the sky. 

Diving in Samoa

Samoa has several different tour operators that will take you to the best diving locations around Upolu to explore Samoa's underwater world. These tours can be booked through the resorts tour desk.

Snorkeling

There is an abundance of snorkeling in Samoa and around Taumeasina Island. Just about anywhere off the beach of Upolu island you will find beautiful coral and fish species to discover.
