What makes Samoan fishing different to other countries in the Pacific?
Samoa is blessed with a 12 month fishing season. She is situated smack bang in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and is the Heart of Polynesia. She is surrounded by deep, blue, crystal clear water with an average temperature of 28deg Celsius. Anglers can target blue marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, wahoo, giant trevally, dogtooth tuna, mangrove jacks and many more species found in the tropics all year round.
What type of fishing is available?
Big Game & Sport Fishing... Anglers wishing to troll, pop, jig, cast a fly or fish with bait are catered for. You can charter a dedicated boat with a professional crew or simply fish the lagoons and the rocky shorelines from land.
How long are the tours, what do they include and pricing?
Troppo Fishing Adventures Samoa is the only fully insured and registered fishing charter operator in Samoa. They have two dedicated charter boats in full commercial survey. The 35ft Bertram Fly Bridge Cruiser "Pure Indulgence" and 26ft Twin Vee Centre Console "Get Er Done". Pure Indulgence is licensed to carry up to 10 pax and Get Er Done up to 4 pax.
Multi Boat charters can be arranged for corporate clients, wedding parties etc
What type of fishing gear and tackle is supplied?
All fishing gear and tackle is supplied and is of the highest quality available including
Shimano Tiagra 15W to 130W big game reels and rods
Shimano Stella 20000 & 30000 combo’s for trolling, jigging and popping
Shimano Torsa and Tacuma jigging combos
Diawa Dogfight Jigging and popping combos
What else is included in the charter?
All charters are Fully Catered excluding alcohol but you're free to BYO as much as you'd like.
Inclusions: Bottled Water, Soft Drinks, Snacks on all charters and Lunch on full day charters.
All you need to bring is your sunscreen, a hat and appropriate clothing. All boats carry applicable safety gear and are kid-friendly.
Can any catches be taken home?
Taumeasina Island Resort will cook up your for you when you do a Troppo fishing charter for 20 Tala pp including chips and salad
Anglers can take their home any or all of the catch, certain countries allow for fish to be taken back.
